     Of all the gifts I can recall my father ever giving me, the greatest one was to introduce me to the world of Toastmasters.  Through this organization I have met incredibly ambitious, talented and successful people.  Although success comes in all flavors, the common trait we share is our dedication to helping others become the best they can be.  This comes from something as simple as carefully evaluating a speech to mentoring a new member, to coaching a struggling club, to serving as Club or District officer.   

This year you will find many new programs to open more doors of opportunities for our members.  You will be given exciting challenges and incentives to test your skills.  These ideas are the compilation of a fantastic mindset of leaders sharing ideas.  Leaders who are seeking YOUR ideas!

The nearly 4000 members of the 200 clubs of District 84 encompass practically every industry, government agency, educational institution and community in Central and Northern Florida.  When you realize just how important this organization is, it is quite humbling to be given the honor to lead.  As District Governor I pledge my commitment to uphold the responsibilities of this office, to lead the professional team of District Officers and to serve our clubs in the best way possible.  Insist On Excellence.  You deserve it!
